Timbalan Ketua Polis Daerah, Superintendan Tan Ah Chua berkata pada hari Isnin bahawa seorang ahli perniagaan yang berusia 48 tahun baru sahaja tiba di rumah teres dua tingkat di USJ pada pukul 8 malam Khamis apabila bau busuk dari cucunya menimbulkan syak wasangka.
"Beliau mengesan punca bau yang berpunca dari dalam mulut kanak-kanak itu. "Ketika itulah dia menyedari sisa menyerupai najis melekat di antara gigi cucunya itu, "katanya.
Supt Tan berkata nenek yang mempersoalkan kanak-kanak itu mengenai sisa najis itu dan terkejut apabila dia memberitahunya bahawa "Bibik" telah memberi dia makan najis. "Anak itu berkata beliau telah diberikan najis untuk makan di dalam tandas pada tingkat atas. "

"She traced the source of the smell back to the child's mouth.
"It was then that she noticed debris resembling faeces stuck in between her grandson's teeth," he added.
Supt Tan said the grandmother questioned the child about the debris and was shocked when he told her that his "bibik" had fed him excrement.
"The child said he was given faeces to eat in a toilet on the upper floor.
"She also said that the boy had vomited out bile that smelt like excrement," he explained.
Supt Tan said police are in the midst of arresting the maid, who had been sent back to her agency, to facilitate investigations.
According to him, the maid had been working with the family for three months.
The case has been classified as child abuse under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001, which carries a jail term of up to 10 years and a fine not exceeding RM20,000.
