Jennifer Cramblett of Ohio is seeking financial compensation from a sperm bank after they accidentally gave her sperm from a black man which resulted in a mixed race baby girl.
Cramblett realised she had received the wrong sperm a few months into her pregnancy. A lesbian, Cramblett had requested the sperm so that she and her partner could experience the joy of raising a child together.
According to the Chicago Tribune, her joy was short lived as upon requesting more sperm from the same donor to have a second child, the sperm bank delivered a different vial of sperm. Cramblett and her partner, Amanda decided to sue the sperm bank. Part of their lawsuit is below.
